How To Create Fields in Your Farm Map

Created by Savannah Tjaden, Modified on Fri, 15 Jul 2022 at 12:24 AM by Savannah Tjaden

Fields are the building blocks of the Water Dashboard. Your fields are created by selecting one or more Land IQ fields, assigning them a field name, and entering field information.

If you have transferred farm information from an Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program (ILRP) member account or member portal please note:

  • There is no spatial component to ILRP reporting. You have transferred your field information from ILRP, but you still need to assign the dirt that goes with the field.

  • You are not required to use/assign all of your transferred ILRP fields. Unassigned fields will not impact your water use or allocation estimates.

1. Go to the Farm Map

On setup, the table on the left will be blank even if you have transferred data from an ILRP account.

5. Enter Field Information

Enter Field Information

6. Example: Assign an existing ILRP field to a farm map field

In the Field Name drop-down, you will see the fields you transferred from ILRP. If you have already associated an ILRP field with Land IQ fields, the field is displayed as "assigned". ILRP fields that still need to be associated with one or more Land IQ fields in your water account are not marked as "assigned".

8. View Fields

The field you created is now displayed on the map and appears in the table on the left.
